Summer Year Around
This beautiful home had all the trademarks of a builder without attention to detail, until this renovation.
Adding new trim, and coffered ceilings to the living and dining space added a craftsman character. The hardwood floors were refinished to a warm brown instead of the former yellow gold.
The fireplace is unique with a window over the mantel with the surround covered in a a slate tile.
The client had shown me a picture of a space with the light blue and yellow colors that she loved. From there the whole color palette fell into place.
The sofa is a warm neutral texture with accent pillows that reinforce the color scheme. Using a rug the client had, to anchor the seating area, along with a leather ottoman. perfect for putting up your feel or holding a tray for snacks. opposite the sofa are two occasional chairs that repeats the color scheme in a multi color stripe.
The dining room boast a large table and chairs for the family. A coordinating buffet is perfect for serving at a party and storage for the clients dishware collection. Instead of your typical symmetrical chandelier, we chose an asymmetrical design with 8 hand blown glass shades.
This space has truly been transformed and the client's love having that summer year around feeling it provides.
